Nobody wants to be stuck in a hospital, but for the times we've had to be there, Bikur Cholim has added comfort and ease to the experience. As I have been there with family members, I've been able to get food for myself in the pantry or even the patient, or just a coffee when I am about to collapse!
My sister-in-law injured her foot while in her third trimester. She was wheelchair bound and just the simplest of household tasks were daunting. As a family we were there immediately to assist with food and whatever else we could do to help. To our amazement we found Bikur Cholim was already delivering meals.
For those who are lucky enough to be on the donating side and not the receiving side, please know your donation makes a tremendous impact for those in a time of need.
