I have always believed if you want change in the world you need to be a vital part in making that happen.

 

As we go through life we face different circumstances that require an attitude of flexibility and willingness to embrace change. In order to be a successful community member you must care deeply about others, the betterment of their lives and have the strength of your convictions. If you believe in something positive, you will move mountains to make it happen.

 

In our Teaneck community I have been involved in many important initiatives that gave people the opportunity to donate to the shul, by honoring Yahrzeit and family celebrations as well as initiating the IDF kiddish and bringing kosher food to TBO.  Running the CBY  Men”s  Club for many years I was able to encourage inclusion, friendship and fundraising. The Gala kiddush replaced the shuls dinner as the largest yearly fundraiser.

 

Awareness is the first step in being an impetus of change. Awareness of not only what is right in front of you, being aware of the environment and the world around us. Caring for our environment is a Chessed we give to society as a whole.
