As many know, I was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma at the age of 5. Fortunately, at that time I was in a car accident and the hospital where I was being treated at found the tumor in time, making it possible to undergo surgery. Dr. Gordon McComb, a successful neurosurgeon with a heart of gold, successfully operated and removed the tumor and placed a shunt that extends from the tip top of show full storymy brain and ends at my abdomen, in order to drain the excess fluid. There is no actual reason why brain tumors appear in young kids or adults but God chose to give an extremely strong girl one. Now that I'm older I've become more aware of what I was diagnosed with. When I was younger all I knew was that I couldn’t run in the playground or do certain things. To this day, my parents and others still treat me with care and I can only repay the world by bringing awareness and doing what I can to help those less fortunate than I am.
