As a college student, from 1980-1982, I volunteered at Middle Earth with the hope learning about counseling. I fell in love with the place, its values, and the Long Islanders we help. After retiring from a 38 year career as a counselor, I am volunteering again at Middle Earth, now the Long Island Crisis Center. Every skill I learned at Middle Earth, I used in my career. Help me support this vital service.
I am so excited to be participating in the Let's Walk, Let's Talk ... Stepping Together to Prevent Suicide. Money raised from this event will be used to raise awareness of suicide prevention in our community.
