MY STORY
I joined LICC’s Board of Directors because I believe in its mission of promoting mental health and suicide awareness and prevention. As the Attorney in Chief at the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County I an well aware that many of our clients suffer from mental illness.  We know that the suicide rate for young people, veterans and others in our community is increasing. LICC’s mission is to prevent anyone from hurting themselves. Their work coincides with the work of the Legal Aid Society
which is to help the most vulnerable and the voiceless in our communities.  The Crisis Center is responsible for administering Nassau County’s 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline which is literally saving hundreds of lives annually. I am so proud of my association with the Crisis Center, and I am so appreciative of the tremendous financial generosity of our staff  who have supported the Crisis Center and Pride for Youth.  Since 2016, Team Nassau County Legal Aid has generously donated close to $20,000 to the Long Island Crisis Center. Thank You All.
