I am participating in the 20th Annual Pancake Run because my buddy Mike Bernot is the ED at the great organization he planned this to fall on my 48th birthday. Which is painful enough so why not throw running into the mix as well.
But really this is to raise money to support individuals and families who are homeless, or living in unsafe homes, and need food, clothing, and compassion.
A gift of $25 provides 10 nutritious meals, $50 provides 10 hot showers and toiletries, and .91 cents of every $1.00 received goes directly to caring for clients.
The funds raised support the mission of the West Side Catholic Center to accept all who come in need of food, clothing, shelter, advocacy, and a path to self-sufficiency.
