I am participating in the Patrick Ring 2nd Annual March on Epilepsy. Money raised from this run will be used to help support Epilepsy Service Dog Programs, supporting organizations that provide assistance to people with Epilepsy and getting Epilepsy and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) the attention they deserve.

 

My name is Epic and I am a special dog for my very special girl, Mia.  I became her partner in crime back in December of 2013.  We've been best friends since.  I came from a really cool organization called 4 Paws for Ability. I am trained to do specific tasks just for Mia.  I can tell when a seizure is coming or if it starts to happen and let someone know. And I help Mia with her balance with my cool harness. I love having such cool jobs for my girl. 

 

Last year, The Patrick Ring Foundation raised $6,000 for my family so they could pay a handler to go to school with me and Mia and I could do my job to protect her. 

 

They have also donated towards other kids fundraising goals so they could get dogs from 4 Paws for Ability too!  I wish I could be at the event!! But, I will be giving you "hi fives" from NC!
