MY STORY
“In memory of those we’ve lost… In honor of those who fight…”  These words caught my attention and have motivated me to participate in Run The Shore For A Cure. I run in memory of my father Redentor Lapid who fought through multiple brain metastasis over the years before his passing last year. I run in memory of my college friend, Chris Lewis, who we lost in 2014. I run in support of Nancy Marsillo, who lost her brother Robert Frischman last year.

The funds raised sponsor a National Brain Tumor Conference in Edison, NJ, a brain tumor scholarship for a NJ student, and brain tumor research.

Today nearly 300,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with a brain tumor each year and approximately 10% or 30,000 are children.  Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones.
