I am so excited to be participating in the SYHA Skate-a-Thon again this year! This is the most fun day with a raffle, bake sale, and tons of fun on the ice with my friends. We have to skate 50 laps around the rink, we have a shoot-off with every team against high schoolers, and we get to have fun with our team. The money we raise goes to support the Youth Hockey Association which means more tournaments, more ice time, coach training, and more. If we raise the most money, our team gets to go to the Monster's Game in our own suite.

This is the key fundraiser to help support the additional costs necessary to run the program, such as purchasing additional ice time, new goalie equipment for younger players, baseline testing, tournaments for each team, and additional coaching tools.
