MY STORY
I am participating in the Walk to End Female Genital Mutilation because i am a third generation victim of FGM from the YORUBA ETHNIC GROUP, but I am a SURVIVOR and now I am a warrior. Championing a global campaign against FGM, because I am better informed, globally educated, exposed and enlightened. I will not allow my beautiful daughter Ameenah to be cut and would do all I can to protect her from an archaic tradition that has no religious backing. It is traumatic and a violation of her liberty and human right.

Money raised from this event will be used to help Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation open a special center for women, girls, parents and the community. Female genital mutilation is the intentional removal of the female genitalia for non-medical reasons.  Many girls die daily as a result of FGM.  85% of maternal and infant mortality in Africa is the result of FGM.  Now, FGM is being practiced here on American soil in many states.  We want it stopped in the world, and most importantly in the United States.

Please help by sponsoring me. I thank you for your anticipated support!
