This year I am participating in the virtual brain tumor walk in New Egypt, NJ. I am a 19 year central neurocytoma brain tumor survivor. My tumor journey has taken me through many challenges in my life and I have survived them all.
I was diagnosed and operated on in 2002 when I was just 32 years old with a husband and young children ages 4, 2 and 9 months. Today things are different. No husband and grown children ages 24, almost 22 and almost 20. I have prayed every day to live long enough to see my children grow up; and, I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to do that. Now I pray that I can can beat this brain tumor and live long enough to see the next stage of their lives.
