As many of you know, in January 2019, our daughter, Krista, was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma brain tumor. She was 30 years old. She went through 33 radiation treatments and 6 months of chemotherapy. The Musella Foundation gave Krista a grant to help her pay for the huge cost of her treatments that her insurance didn't cover. Our family is very grateful for this foundation.
Our team will be walking in Utah's Go Grey in May 5K. Money raised from this event will be used for brain tumor research.
Today nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and more than 69,000 others will be diagnosed this year. Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones. I can tell you from our experience, it turns people's lives upside down.
