My Name is Heather. I am a very passionate social worker. My Current job is the Client's Rights Advocate for Applewood Centers.

 

When I write about our clients its difficult for me to be able to sum it up.

 

Teenagers are usually the most difficult and least loved age group but no one really gives them credit for what their going through... The acceleration of hormones and growth that their going through physically, mentally and emotionally is beyond intense... They certainly are not given enough credit... Then add on top of that TRAUMA! Our clients are survivors battling their own inner demons day in and day out and they need our help to continue to fight the darkness! Help me on my crusade to benefit our clients by giving even the smallest donation...

Please join me in supporting the 23rd Bellefaire JCB 5K, Biathlon & Walk on August 26, 2018! This event provides much needed funds to support one of the nation's largest and most experienced child welfare agencies. For example, $100 will fund RTA passes for runaway and homeless youth for 1 month(INCLUDING HUMAN TRAFFICKED VICTIMS). Last year Bellefaire JCB provided outreach, education and treatment for more than 27,000 children and families. Together, we can make a difference.
