About Miles for Myles
As the incoming President of the FJMC, Myles Simpson has graciously allowed us to use his name for a wellness program and fundraising campaign for FJMC.  Each mile you ride, run, or walk will benefit FJMC when you pledge to raise $1/mile for FJMC. For example, if you pledge to ride 100 miles between now and the end of convention, that is $100 for FJMC. You can even ask your friends to support you in your efforts by agreeing to support your fundraising and wellness program with a donation of their own.
 
As part of the convention wellness program, we will have bike riding opportunities on the Wednesday morning prior to the convention opening ceremonies as well as during convention along with the morning wellness exercise program.

Here are some suggested goals for your wellness program and fundraising.
  • 18 miles - Cycle, swim, walk, run, or exercise for Chai ($18)
  • 54 miles - Bring your bike to convention and ride with us ($54)
  • 100 miles - Give Myles credit for riding a century, 60 people doing this gets Myles to Boston and Back to Los Angeles ($100)
  • 180 miles - about 10 miles/week until convention ($180)
  • 360 miles - about 20 miles/week until convention ($360)
Track your progress - download the spreadsheet below to keep track of your mileage. If you don't track mileage, but rather exercise time, use 2 miles per 15 minutes of exercise activity to convert your exercise time into mileage.
