The Mission Walk was established in 2013 to raise funds for the operations of four non-profit agencies located in Cumberland County, PA. The four non-profits are: Carlisle C.A.R.E.S., Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Safe Harbour, and Salvation Army. Although, the organziations differ in some area, each one is important in bettering the quailty of life of those in need.
Each of our agencies provides services to individuals in need, whether that be need for shelter, food, or protection from domestic violence. Our agencies strive to provide equal opportunities for all individuals to obtain stable and happier lives.
This run & walk is a collaborative effort of our agencies to raise awearness of the need in our community, as well as much needed funding to contiue our mission. |
