4. What does pledging to the run mean, exactly?
By committing to this event, and pledging to raise money for its success, you are helping raise invaluable funds to help people triumph over mental illness, alcoholism, drug and other addictions.

We know that we cannot do this alone. We are seeking partners in health and partners in hope to join us as we create awareness, dispel myths and eliminate the stigma that prevents people from seeking the help they need.

We wish you all the success possible. Train, set and achieve new goals, enjoy the race… and get all the sponsors you can, so when you cross that finish line, we will all be winners – you, and all the people on the path to recovery!

5. What is the fundraising goal per team and how will I be able to achieve it?
The goal for each team is to raise $1,000. Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy for you to solicit and collect donations from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others. The goal can easily be achieved by recruiting ten teammates who individually raise $100. Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but enjoyable, to set and reach your goals.

6. How can my sponsors submit payment?
Online contributions can be made by credit card on your personalized page found on our website at www.wizathon.com/runforrecovery. Just make sure to tell your sponsors to select your name from the list of runners.

7. Is the run only for runners?
No! The Run is designed as a day of fun and fitness for the whole family. It is our intention to keep this celebration alive even if it has to be modified.

8. Do you run/walk alone or as a team?
Either! Participants can run or walk alone or create their own team.

9. I have never run a race.  Will I be able to finish a 5K?
Absolutely! It might take a little training and coaching, but many of our participants are first-timer runners.  Whether you signed up for our 1 mile walk or you're a first-time 5K runner or a competitive runner, we will be here to inspire you every step of the way!

Our hope is to inspire you to achieve ultimate “personal wellness” and, at the same time, participate in a competitive and family friendly athletic event that will allow you to spend meaningful time together with family and friends.

10. Is there a refund/exchange policy?
Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, simply make us aware of the issue and we will be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes or corrections. Race registration fees are not refundable.

11. Is parking available?
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo offers free parking.
