Hello Everyone! Before I ask for your money, of course, I want to provide a sense of just how important the team is to me.

 

Rowing, for me, is a passion that snuck up on me. When I first joined the team- all of last year, mind you- I thought of it as a means of getting in shape, having a little fun, and maybe making a couple friends along the way.

 

What I found, however, is a community of people that I am both incredibly proud and infinitely thankful to call my friends and teammates. My teammates, every single one of them, renew my passion for the sport and push me to be the best version of myself every day. Not every day is easy, and I would be lying if I said every day is one where I am raring to go, but I frankly cannot imagine where I would be in my high school career if it wasn't for my teammates. Everyday I find myself both pushing others and being pushed myself, in a level of community that I think is honestly unparalleled within the world of Shaker sports.

 

This team, and the people on it, mean the world to me. I can say that with incredible confidence. Nowhere else could I look for a group of people that I know will always support me and encourage me to be the best possible me.

 

I love this team and would fight tooth and limb, if needed, to support it, so I very clearly ask this: Support Shaker Crew. Please. We are in desperate need of new equipment. A donation of any level makes such an impact and moves us closer towards our goal and improving the program. I want to leave this team next year knowing that I have made an impact, and I want you to be part of that impact too.
