I am a third generation FGM/C survivor but I will not allow my beautiful daughter Ameenah to be cut. I pledge to protect her from a harmful tradition that violates her liberty and human right.
 
Female genital mutilation is the intentional removal of the female genitalia for non-medical reasons.  Many girls die daily as a result of FGM.  85% of maternal and infant mortality in Africa is the result of FGM.  We want it stopped in the world.
