MY STORY
We're so so excited to participate in the Race/Walk for Brain Cancer. Money raised from this event will be used for brain tumor research.

Today nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and more than 69,000 others will be diagnosed this year. Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones.

We are running this race in memory of Brian Rowlands, who passed on November 4, 2012 at the age of 60 from Glioblastoma Multiforme.
Also, for a young boy named Tyler whose currently battling Brain Cancer. This poem was written for Tyler by his classmates.

“Have you met my friend, Tyler?
Known to some as “Smilier”
He lights up our lives
With his bright, sunny smile
A handsome face
And his own “Tyler Style.”
To be able to laugh
At a world so unfair
His strength and his courage
Is precious and rare.
He is kind.
He is brave.
He is funny and smart.
We love all about him
Most of all his big heart.
So proud of you, Tyler
We know you'll go far.
You're a fighter, a winner
You are always our star.
