At the age of 6 months, we found out our daughter had a brain tumor. She was diagnosed with a choroid plexus tumor between her ventricles blocking cerebral spinal fluid from recycling through her body. Fluid was building and her head was getting abnormally larger. She is doing fantastic after her brain tumor removal surgery. Three and a half years after quarterly MRI’s we were able to have show full storyher shunt removed and has she has shown no problem with fluid building. We are now down to yearly sedated MRI’s. A few months ago we had dental surgery due to all of the medication rotting the enamel off of her teeth. On the plus side, she is off all of her previous medications. Life has been heading in the proper direction for our sweet girl.
