I am so excited to be running in Utah's Go Grey in May 5K. Money raised from this event will be used for brain tumor research.
I was diagnosed in July 2019 when I couldn't stop sleeping and throwing up. I went through standard of care: radiation every day for 30 days, chemotherapy and started using the Optune device. I had a recurrence in January 2024, then had to do standard of care again. But not using the Optune device anymore. It's been about 6 years since I was diagnosed, and I'm still going strong.
Today nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and more than 69,000 others will be diagnosed this year. Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones.
