We are excited to be participating in the Dash for Dignity. Money raised from this event will provide clothing to children and families in Israel giving them support, confidence and joy.
Yad Leah is directed by Karen Thaler in Beitar Ilit, Israel. It began as a small gemach in her home & has grown into a multi-site gmach which helps Israeli families all across Israel. We can help by sending clothing through the various gathering sites here in the US, Teaneck in particular, and by donating money to cover administrative costs & the shipping fees.
Please help by sponsoring our team, running or walking with me physically or virtually.
The entire class was counting down to Wednesday, the day of the big end of the year trip, the highlight of fourth grade. But when the big day came, Avi was not there. He told his mom he had a stomach ache but he was really hiding under his blankets ashamed because he didn't have sneakers, a bathing suit and a knapsack to carry his stuff.
No kid should be robbed of his childhood because he does not own clothes that fit.
Your donation will provide kids like Avi and his entire family with basic clothing essentials so that they can wake up each morning ready to face the day with dignity, pride and confidence.
