2. Do I have to fundraise to run?
No, but we hope that you will fundraise for Yad Leah to help provide needy families in israel with basic clothing essentials.
After you register online, you can create a personalized fundraising page or a team fundraising page. You can direct your friends and family to this page via email and social media so they can help support a great cause!
If you don’t plan to fundraise, you can still make a donation along with your registration.
Every dollar makes a difference!
3. Why should I fundraise?
Knowing you are making a difference bring a sense of reward and satisfaction.
However even with that great sense of satisfaction, Yad Leah wants to recognize the outstanding effort you are making to raise money to make that happen. We are therefore offering a great package of prizes.

4. I don’t plan to run, will there be any other activities I can participate in?
Yes, in addition to the USATF-certified 5k route, there will be a fun 1 mile family walk plus face painting and other activities for children. You can come to cheer on your friends and family and then enjoy a gourmet breakfast.
5. What does pledging to the Run mean?
By committing to this event, and pledging to raise money for its success, you are making a difference in the lives of hundreds. The funds that you donate or raise will provide warm, comfortable clothing to families in Israel, giving them the gift of joy and dignity.
It is really easy! After you register online, you will be prompted to create a personalized fundraising page or a team fundraising page. You can direct your friends and family to this page via email and social media so they can help send clothing to families in Israel.
6. How can my sponsors submit payment?
Online contributions can be made by credit card on your personalized page found on this website. Just make sure to tell your sponsors to select your name from the list of runners.

7. I am concerned that I might not be able to raise any money. Will I be able to do it?
Don’t worry! Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy for you to solicit and collect sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others. Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but enjoyable, to set and reach your goals.
Please refer to the sample letters found on your personal fundraising page center, that explains Yad Leah and the Dash for Dignity, and you will be surprised to see how quickly friends, family, and co-workers will respond to your request
Just remember to make it personal as well, as you want them to know that they are sponsoring YOU and YOUR efforts!
8. Is the Run only for runners?
No! The Day is design for all ages, levels and abilities. Run the 5k, stroll the one mile, participate in fun family activities or just come and cheer.
In addition to the races, the Run features a gourmet breakfast and lots of activities for children, teens and adults.
Runners enjoy additional benefits that include pre-race stretches and warm-ups led by professional fitness staff, a post race cool down class, precision race-recording, free tee-shirts, medals for the top three winners in each age category, and ribbons for children under 8.
9. Should I run alone or as a team?
Either! Participants can run alone or create their own team to run a USATF-certified Grand Prix route through a relatively flat course in a beautiful country Park. Gifts will be awarded to the team that raises the most funds.
10. I have never run a race. Will I be able to finish the 5K?
It might take a little training and coaching, but many of our participants are first-timer runners. So give it a try or choose our one mile family walk instead. Strollers are welcomed
Not in the mood for a walk, then join our family fun activities, fitness challenges or just come to cheer on your family and friends.
11. Is there a refund/exchange policy?
Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, simply make us aware of the issue and we will be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes or corrections. The race is on rain or shine. Registration fees are not refundable.
12. Running a race can make you really hungry. Will here be any food available?
You bet! We will be providing the best breakfast you have very seen. All participants in any one of the day’s activities are invited to join us.
13. After all that training for the race, I lost weight and now have a ton of beautiful clothes to donate.Will you also be collecting clothing at the race?
Of course, that is what we do best. Please bring your gently used clothing donation in tied up bags to the specially marked clothing designated area.
We will be accepting all clothing in excellent condition including children's, women's and men's clothing. Additionally we will accept shoes, outerwear, linens, towels, tablecloths, handbags and pocketbooks.
14. Is parking available?
Please note that the parking lot will be available throughout the morning with intermittent closings before each race. Please allow sufficient time for parking and registration.
