The very meaning of “grassroots action” is a movement that starts from the ground up and is driven by the beliefs of a community. If you care passionately about the welfare of innocents that have been forced into a life of pain and abuse, then the possibilities for making a difference are limitless.

Let us help you create a fundraising page to start your grassroots efforts – send it to your friends and family, neighbors, and local businesses asking them to join you in supporting Durga Tree, or host an event and use your page to collect “admission” from your guests. Big or small, every action counts, and every effort you make shows those souls currently enslaved that someone really does care.

STEP 1: Decide what type of event you’d like to have (Bake sale? Cocktail party? Movie night? Yoga session? There are so many ways that you can help raise money). STEP 2: Just register here and join us! When you create your account, you will be given log-in information to help you to create and manage your own personal page, putting you in full control of the fundraising campaign or event.

STEP 3: You can choose your campaign goal, upload photos, add personalized messages, videos, stories and links, invite friends, and more!  All donations made by your friends via credit card will be sent directly to Durga Tree's account, with an automatic email being sent out acknowledging their contribution. On your end, you will get notification of the sponsorship and will have access to the donors email information so that you can send your own "thank you" if you'd like.

Step 4: Start the ball rolling by making the first donation yourself, or having a close friend make one. Then, visit our "Fundraising Tips" page to get some ideas on how to really make the biggest impact. We even provide graphics that can be used with facts regarding Human Trafficking and Durga Tree's efforts.

Step 5: Spread the word! Having your own fundraising site enables you to invite friends and family to donate to your personalized campaign via Facebook, Twitter, emails, etc. through all the social media sharing buttons provided. Donors are also given an option to share once their contribution has been made.

Step 6: Enjoy the warm feeling of knowing the contributions you collect will be felt around the globe, directly benefiting those that are affected by modern day slavery.
