I was able to travel to Guatemala in 2017 with our team and was able to see the young girls (and their babies who are a product of sexual abuse) who were rescued from human trafficking. Although I was unable to speak the language, just their actions and the look on their faces said it all. I knew of the torment and abuse they endured countless times a day for years, but you could tell they were so happy to be saved and in a shelter that truly cared for them. These girls were overjoyed when we brought them countless duffle bags filled with donations towards their education, personal hygiene, and so much more. To be able to fundraise to support those who truly need it is so important. I appreciate every dollar given, thank you!
