About Us

SEED is a community nonprofit organization located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. For over 10 years we’ve provided emergency food, clothing, education and training while promoting self-sufficiency and empowerment directly to low- to moderate-income families in and outside of the beltway.

We provide academic advancement to area children and youth during the school year and the summer months. Education and counseling to first time homebuyers as well as foreclosure prevention counseling. SEED, is also a HUD approved housing counseling agency. To develop and rehabilitate affordable housing for area residents and seniors and anti-hunger and clothing resources with access to an area food distribution center and clothes closet for residents and related organizations.

Through education, housing & community services, SEED creates environments where all individuals are empowered, all children are nurtured, families are strengthened, and communities are transformed.
